The team also enlisted the help of Game Changers members Clare Siobhan, Devon Bumpkin, ThomasTV and HeyHarrie with premade builds. Antonio Romeo, the game's lead producer, told me that developers were inspired by the quaint English countryside. Read more: The Sims gave millennials a dream life reality couldn't matchĪ farming-themed pack has been at the top of Simmers' wish lists for a long time. All in all, Cottage Living gives a new realism and dynamic atmosphere to the life-simulation game. In addition, Sims can work toward being a Country Caretaker, a new nature aspiration. Sims 4 Cottage Living introduces a new world, Henford-on-Bagley, as well as new premade families, holidays and Create-A-Sim and build mode items. I went hands-on with this cozy cottagecore pack ahead of its release. Though Simmers have been gardening in the Sims 4 for some time, the newest expansion pack, Cottage Living, available now, takes living off the land to a whole new level. My Sims can usually make a decent living by selling flowers, fruits and vegetables. I’ve been playing Sims since 2000 and this is legitimately the first time I’ve actually wanted to play as or alongside an occult Sim.I've always gotten along better with plants in the Sims 4 than I do with real-life greenery. So as they do certain actions they will gain points to use towards a selection of powers (but as they get stronger they will have to take on some weaknesses as well). It’s done RPG style, for lack of a better way to describe it. It’s a very small neighborhood with only five residential lots but I feel like for a game pack that’s to be expected.Īs for the vampires themselves I really liked how they did the ranking system and powers. The neighborhood Forgotten Hollow also tends to be cloudy and rainy most of the time (dunno how it is without Seasons though) which is useful when the sun can turn you to dust. It was nice to see that bit of attention to detail about how vampires are typically depicted. I even noticed that the kitchens in vampires’ houses were always the most run-down areas of the house, covered in spiderwebs, used as a storage room, etc. Seemed like there were plenty of new objects as well in general, as the in game houses looked like they actually had some effort put into making them unlike in most expansion packs. I loved the gothic and Victorian style build mode objects, as well as the wall decals that you can use to make a building look like it’s falling apart to some extent. The game seems to offer more than even many of the expansion packs.
#The sims 4 cats and dogs how long 50% off on origin full#
I thought it was worth it even at full price $20 USD game pack. So if you want any number of packs and can find the patience to wait a few weeks longer (trust me, I get it, I really want island living and university), you will find yourself getting a great deal!!
I have less experience buying during the Black Friday sale, so things might be less than 50% off or some things might not be discounted at all, but if you wait for Christmas, I have always found that every single expansion pack, game pack, etc. This is definitely being strategically released, and typically EPs that come out in November are excluded from Black Friday sales (too new), but will pretty much for sure be 50% off for the Christmas sale barely a month later (I got cats and dogs the month after it came out during the Christmas sale). I know Discover University is coming out soon, before Black Friday. this is also nice because if you miss the Black Friday sale time, you'll get the chance again maybe some three weeks later!! I myself have never paid full price for any sims 4 expansion packs/etc., and have always gotten them when they are at their mostly steeply discounted, which tends to be around Black Friday and Christmastime.
